Hello! I’m a writer based in beautiful Seattle, WA. I write about niche communities, social justice, and comedy for online publications including The Atlantic, The Guardian, Splitsider, BuzzFeed, Racked, and AfterEllen. I love writing Seattle local stories for Real Change News, Seattle Met Magazine, Seattle’s Child, and Curbed Seattle. I also write for Articulate with Jim Cotter, an arts & culture show on WHYY. Last year I worked on the MTV documentary, Prescription for Change: Ending America’s Opioid Crisis featuring Macklemore and President Obama.
When I lived in New York, I studied Journalism and Dramatic Writing at New York University and interned at Saturday Night Live. When I lived in LA, I worked with children with autism, children with terminal illness, and managed a Holocaust Museum. Today, I strive to engage communities in seeking new experiences, celebrating difference, and finding humor in humanity.
